Song Info: You didn't see this song on the registration list immediately; I was
unsure whether or not it was already stepped by someone (particularly Shin or
Juno from BahamutForever), but after finding out that this song was not in fact
previously stepped, I decided to take a go at it. Bugabuga Chew Chew is one of
the major standouts from SEB 157, and has stood out to me as one of the best
recent productions of Hi-NRG Attack. This song manages to take a trip out of
the label's usual theme while still retaining to their crazy, wacky personality.
I originally experimented with it just for fun, but once I got going, I realized
that it would make a surprisingly fun simfile. Energetic, well-crafted, and
bound to take anyone for quite a wild ride, Bugabuga Chew Chew fits the DDR
environment better than most eurobeat songs out today. If you didn't care much
for Super Guts, you may still enjoy this file a lot more.

Artist Info: Hi-NRG Attack presents multiple aliases for their broad range of
different vocalists. Boogaboo was originally used by Frederico Rimonti (Franz
Tornado) for the classic Eurobeat Flash song, Beast Girl. However, after that,
Nick Festari (also Garcon, who sang EBSS 1's Super Kaiser) replaced Frederico
as Boogaboo. This name appears largely when Festari pursues major wackiness
that doesn't particularly involve cows and bazookas as most HRG songs do. Camel
Man, I'll Be Your King Kong, and Burn Burn Get My Fire are all some examples of
Boogaboo's releases. However, Bugabuga Chew Chew is by far the most popular song
to date and continues to remain a favorite among many eurobeat fans.

Graphics Info:

I made these in PhotoImpact 11 and simplified the train image with Photoshop's
'Cutout' filter. I really enjoy how these graphics ultimately came together, as
they retained to my usual style while still giving a solid environment of the
"chew chew train's" fast progression. I had to work with it a little to get the
combination of colors right, but overall I find these to be some of my better
graphics I've made using PhotoImpact so far.

Step Info:

Beginner (1 foot):
Unlike some of my other recent Beginner charts, I kept this fairly simple to make
it more accessible to DDR novices.

Light (4 feet):
Not particularly my best or most unique Light stepchart to date, but I'd say it
gets the job done fairly well by staying true to the upbeat nature of the song.
The offbeats at the end of certain sections were a pain in the neck to conquer,
but everything else goes along pretty naturally. A difficult 4, but not exactly
hard enough to deserve 5 feet.

Standard (6 feet):
When designing Standard charts, you'll need to be even more cautious that you
don't overdo the steps as if you were intending most of the elements of a Heavy
chart. Thus, for this chart, I only seldomly used 8ths by the standards of a 6
footer and placed jumps as the main drive of the chart. Most of it's not too
difficult for most Standard players, but it steadily becomes harder as the song
moves on.

Heavy (8 feet):
This turned out to be a lot better than I would've initially predicted. I enjoy
how it manages to take the basic elements of a Heavy stepchart and imply their
attributes to live up to the fast-paced energy of the song. You've got plenty of
jumps, some easy, and some not so easy; as well as plenty of streams of varrying
lengths, balanced out by the occasional breaks. A very solid 8 on Heavy.

About Me: I've been making simfiles since September of 2005 and began releasing
them in March of '06. Ever since my successful debut simfile competition entry,
Samba Brazil, I have worked hard to improve my simfiles by staying actively
involved in the community and learning from other authors' simfiles. My files
are mainly to eurobeat nowadays, but I enjoy stepping a variety of other genres
as well. As one of the newer authors to the community, I have participated in
several recent simfile competitions, as well as the Eurobeat StepStars project
with the_dtiz.
